Tulsa Tech’s Arts, A/V Technology and Communications cluster is divided into eight diverse pathways. Advertising Design and Graphics and Imaging Technologies put you on the forefront of business-to-consumer and business-to-business communications. Broadcast Sound Engineering and Television Production open the door to many journalism, marketing and entertainment career paths. Apparel Design and Jewelry Technology let you express your personal style within the fashion industry.  The possibilities that springboard from Tulsa Tech’s Photography Technology I and II range from business communications and portrait photography, to your own personal creative expression.

  • Advertising Design
    Taught by a skilled professional, you will not only have opportunities to work on real-world projects, but also to develop a portfolio to showcase your work and promote your employability.
  • Apparel Design
    This innovative, hands-on course will give you the skills you need to gain confidence and competencies in the area of design through textiles, custom sewing, and alterations using commercial patterns.
  • Broadcast Sound Engineering Technician
    Throughout this course, you’ll work hands-on in a fully functional recording studio with professional-level live production sound equipment.
  • Graphics & Imaging Technologies
    Under the guidance of a skilled and experience professional, you will study reproduction photography, image assembly, plate making, basic press operation, basic electronic imaging, finishing and binding techniques, and mechanical and quality control standards.
  • Interior Design
    As you investigate the opportunities and challenges of creating great interior spaces, you will focus on space planning, elements of design, decorating, and furnishings.
  • Jewelry Technology
    As in the real-world industry, you’ll take your own projects from conception to completion using precious metals and gemstones.
  • Photography Technology I & II
    Guided by a skilled professional, you will have the opportunity to build a professional portfolio as you develop your own personal style and techniques for both black and white and color photography.
  • Television Production
    In this high-tech course, you will experience all aspects of television production, from developing the original program concept to shooting the video to editing the final product.
