Tulsa Tech’s Hospitality and Tourism career cluster can lead you down three different pathways. You may be drawn to the creativity of the culinary arts, or be attracted to the dynamic yet highly organized business side of entertainment and event planning. The hotel and lodging pathways will prepare you to enhance the total guest experience with many opportunities for advancement.

Whatever direction you choose, strong communication skills, attention to detail, creativity and the ability to work well with people will take you far.
  • Culinary Arts Technology
    You will learn a full menu of principles like safety, sanitation, utensil and equipment identification and use, as well as standardized recipe use, the principles of quantity cookery, and the fundamentals of baking.
  • Event, Entertainment & Tourism
    You’ll have the opportunity to observe and participate in a real event – giving you first-hand knowledge of the skills employers are looking for, plus valuable entry-level experience you can showcase on your resume.
  • Hotel & Lodging Management
    Onsite, work-based experiences at local hotels will give students valuable, hands-on training in many areas of the industry and a chance to observe and compare various supervisors and managers in action.
  • Service Careers
    Throughout your course work, you will have the advantage of individualized classroom instruction, academic support and instruction in life management skills.
