Student Organizations
Tulsa Tech has many student organizations which provide students with the knowledge,
skills and behaviors essential for success in a career and encourage leadership development, good
citizenship and service. These organizations are an integral part of each full-time program.
Skills USA
This national organization is for trade, technical, and health occupation students in public high schools,
vocational centers, area vocational schools and two-year colleges. SkillsUSA-VICA provides quality education
experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship, and character development. It emphasizes total
quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education, and pride in the dignity
of work.

Business Professionals of America
Business Professionals of America has a history as a student organization that contributes to the preparation
of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills
for students at the Secondary and the Postsecondary level. Through co-curricular programs and services, members
of Business Professionals of America compete in demonstrations of their business technology skills, develop their
professional and leadership skills, network with one another and professionals across the nation, and get involved
in the betterment of their community through good works projects.

Health Occupations Students of America
This national student organization is endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Occupations
Education Division of the American Vocational Association. Its mission is to promote career opportunities in the
health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

This national student organization helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal,
family, work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences and related occupations.

DECA - An Association of Marketing Students
This national association provides teachers and members with educational and leadership development
activities to merge with the education classroom instructional program. DECA chapter prepares students
who are interested in entreprenurial, marketing, or management careers.
